What is this

Safety and hygiene along the entire production chain are essential elements to ensure quality, public health protection and competitiveness in domestic and foreign markets. The event on Feb. 22, 2025, was a time for an in-depth look at the challenges and opportunities for the sector, involving institutions, experts, and practitioners. Through an analysis of risks related to primary production, food safety and international standards, strategies to consolidate consumer confidence and strengthen the presence of Italian dairy products in global markets were discussed.
The event followed a logical path starting with safety in primary production (Classyfarm), then addressing specific emerging risks (aflatoxins, raw milk), highlighting the role of food safety in economic growth (export), and concluding with a view of the situation in Puglia. The need to consolidate the synergy between health control, technological innovation and enhancement of local productions emerged, with the aim of strengthening the Apulian dairy supply chain with a view to quality, safety and sustainability.
