IZS presents UNI/TS Technical Specification 11868:2022 at the National Congress of Analytical Chemistry

As part of the proceedings of the XXX Congress of the Division of Analytical Chemistry of the Italian Chemical Society (SCI), held Sept. 17-21 in Vasto at the Palazzo D'Avalos, Dr. Marco Iammarino, a health researcher at the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Puglia and Basilicata, as well as an expert of the UNI “Agri-food” commission and coordinator of the UNI “Chemical Analysis of Meat” working group, illustrated the Technical Specification UNI/TS 11868:2022, i.e., the method in use at the IZS Puglia and Basilicata for the determination of sulfites in food products, which, thanks to the publication of this document, has been nationally recognized as a standard procedure for this type of investigation in food safety controls.
