Descrizione

Safety and hygiene along the entire production chain are essential elements to guarantee quality, protection of public health and competitiveness on national and foreign markets. The event of February 22, 2025 was a moment of in-depth analysis of the challenges and opportunities for the sector, involving institutions, experts and operators in the sector. Through an analysis of the risks related to primary production, food safety and international standards, strategies were discussed to consolidate consumer confidence and strengthen the presence of Italian dairy products in global markets. The event followed a logical path that starts from safety in primary production (Classyfarm), then addresses specific emerging risks (aflatoxins, raw milk), highlights the role of food safety in economic growth (exports) and concludes with a vision of the situation in Puglia. The need to consolidate the synergy between health control, technological innovation and valorization of local productions has emerged, with the aim of strengthening the Apulian dairy supply chain in a perspective of quality, safety and sustainability. The event, strongly supported by the Undersecretary of Health, Hon. Marcello Gemmato, and organized by the Director General of the Ministry of Health, Dr. Ugo della Marta, saw the participation, among others, of Dr. Antonio Fasanella, Director General of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Puglia and Basilicata, Dr. Antonio Parisi, Health Director of the IZSPB, the Undersecretary of State Senator Vita Maria Nocco, member of the V Permanent Commission (Budget), Tommaso Scatigna - Regional Councilor, Puglia Region, Dr. Massimo Forino, President of Assolatte, Dr. Onofrio Mongelli, Director of Health and Well-being Promotion - Puglia Region, Dr. Loris Alborali (Health Director at the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Lombardy and Emilia Romagna), Dr. Rita Marcianò (Veterinary Health Director - ASL ROMA 6), Dr. Umberto Agrimi (Director of the Department Food safety, nutrition and veterinary public health at the Istituto Superiore di Sanità) by Dr. Daniele Tognetti (Veterinary Health Manager – DGISA, Ministry of Health).
