The stabilization process for Researchers and Research Collaborators of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Puglia and Basilicata, started in the first days of March 2024, in implementation of Article 3-ter of Legislative Decree no. 51/2023, converted with Law no. 87/2023, has concluded today, allowing an important milestone to be reached for many employees included in the so-called 'Research Pyramid', who have been waiting for this moment for years.
The legislation establishes that the public Scientific Institutes for Hospitalization and Care and the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institutes, from 1 July 2023 to 31 December 2025 can hire, on a permanent basis, in the economic position acquired, personnel from Health Research and health research support activities in possession of specific requirements. The initiative, which allowed the stabilization of 32 professionals (13 Researchers and 19 Research Collaborators), was possible thanks to the synergy between the General Management, Administrative Management, Health Management and the fruitful work of the relevant offices.
“We acted immediately to allow all our Researchers and Research Collaborators to finally obtain a permanent position – explains the General Director of the Experimental Zooprophylactic Institute of Puglia and Basilicata, Dr. Antonio Fasanella. And he adds “Today the first cycle of the stabilization process was completed and a second cycle is planned for 2025. The path to achieve the goal of professional stability of health research personnel in public IRCCS and IIZZSS was long and controversial but in the end we made it”.
